Okay, ladies! We're trying something a little different on the Shoppe blog this morning. We're sharing our very first RECIPE and we are a little too excited about it...introducing the California Girl Lemon Bar (Gluten free + dairy free deliciousness).
Our founder, Jess, has a ton of food intolerances. And coincidentally, her best friend Maya is a food scientist who loves adapting recipes (can we say match made in girlfriend heaven?). They spent last weekend playing around in the kitchen and came up with the most DELICIOUS gluten free/dairy free lemon bar recipe (perfect for the California girl looking to bring something extra special to a summer barbecue).
Don't get us wrong- it's not like this dessert is the healthiest option in the world, but it's certainly worth it. Full disclosure: you will eat more than you are planning on- so make sure you double up on your cardio for the week to balance it out! ha.
Of course we couldn't resist having a little too much fun with these monster lemons- locally grown in California! They we're literally speaking to us... And sorry to break it to you, but 3 large lemons were harmed during the making of this blog post...
